RTP is a long-run average over a very large number of spins. It does not tell you what will happen in one session.

How a spin works

The grid has 6 reels of 5 rows, plus one extra row on top of reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. When every symbol is single size, that is 5 x 6 x 6 x 6 x 6 x 5 = 32,400 ways. On reels 2 to 5, some symbols are 2 to 4 spaces tall and count as one symbol, so the number of ways drops. The current number is shown above the reels.

A win needs matching symbols on neighbouring reels, starting from the leftmost reel. The row does not matter. Winning symbols clear and new ones fall in. If they make a new win, the spin goes on. It ends when a round has no win.

The features, in plain words

Win multiplier. Every main game spin starts at x1. After each round with a win, once the new symbols have fallen, the multiplier goes up by 1: x2, x3, x4 and so on. PG Soft's sheet gives no top value. The next spin starts at x1 again.

Wilds-on-the-Way. On reels 2 to 5, some tall symbols (2 to 4 spaces, never Wilds or Scatters) land with a silver frame. If a silver-framed symbol is part of a win, it changes into a random symbol with a gold frame. If that gold-framed symbol is part of a win too, it changes into a Wild.

Wild. The Wild replaces every symbol except the Scatter. It appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 only.

Free spins. Four Scatters anywhere start 10 free spins, and each extra Scatter adds 2 more. The multiplier starts at x2 and goes up by 2 after every winning round: x4, x6, x8 and higher. Free spins can be retriggered.

Feature buy. The Feature Buy button shows a price to start free spins straight away. The price depends on your bet and is shown in the game before you confirm.

PG Soft's game sheet splits the 96.71% RTP into 69.59% from the main game and 27.12% from free spins. So most of the return comes from normal spins.

Treasures of Aztec vs Mahjong Ways

Both are PG Soft cascade slots with a climbing multiplier, so they are easy to compare. In Mahjong Ways the multiplier stops at x5 in the main game and gold tiles turn wild in one step; Mahjong Ways 2 works the same way with 2,000 ways. Treasures of Aztec adds +1 per winning round with no cap in the sheet, uses a two-step silver-to-gold-to-Wild chain, and has a feature buy, which neither Mahjong Ways game has.

Practical notes before you play

• How the bet is built. Total bet = bet size x bet level x 20. PG Soft lists bet sizes 0.01, 0.05 and 0.1 and levels 1 to 10, so the default range is 0.20 to 20 (in EUR). Your account currency sets the steps you see.
• Pick a stake you can hold. PG Soft's sheet puts a win of some size on about 29% of spins, but most are small. Free spins trigger far less often (0.56% hit rate in the provider's figures).
• Set Auto Spin limits. Auto Spin can stop when your balance falls or rises by an amount you choose, or when one win passes a value you choose.
• Check History. The History button lists past rounds by date.
• Ignore "patterns". A random number generator decides each spin. No time of day or spin count changes the odds.
